"Making small town New Zealand world famous"
Sometimes small town New Zealand inspired cultural cringe. Gore, Levin and Greymouth, just to name a few, have been the butt end of many jokes and the places many people have sworn never to return to. But with the wisdom of age comes the realisation that small town New Zealand is the real New Zealand, and is just as beautiful and inspiring as any place on Earth. Kiwi women Billi Richmond and Jasmine Shaughnessey have harnessed the power of the ‘wop wops’ and turned it into a hugely popular and ever-expanding T-shirt company Billi Tees. The pair are looking to expand their line very soon with the introduction of long sleeve zip-ups. This is a far cry from the initial set up that operated out of Richmond’s spare room. Both hail from small towns – Horner from Coalgate in Canterbury, and Richmond from Bluff – and both are extremely proud of where they come from. All of the tees, hoodies, merino and babywear are made right here in good old NZ. A bit of Pure Goodness, wash tested and ready to warm you up. Check 'em out for the NZ winter, or stock up now if you're overseas, as they sold out last year!
