"I strive to produce unique, individual jewellery, high quality craftsmanship, wearable and displayable pieces of art."
Steph's work surprises and delights. Steph Lusted Jewellery is well known for pieces like her Butterfly Brooches which feature real butterfly wings encased in resin. Steph also has jewellery collections inspired by Anatomy or Medical Implements. The combination of precious metals, handcrafted detail, and industrial resin, when encased in contemplative subjects, is signature to her work. Studying Visual Arts, Steph majored in Jewellery Design. Success both locally and in Australia led to further studies abroad. After two years at the prestigious 'Goldschmiedeschule mit Uhrmacherschule' (Goldsmithing School) in Pforzheim, Germany, Steph is once again based in NZ. Her work continues to blur the boundries between Jewellery design, Fashion and Art. Collections of Steph's are held in The National Museum of NZ, 'Te Papa'; The New Dowse.
