Dustys and Lulu: Making Life Pretty

Dustys and Lulu: Making Life Pretty Why are opposites on pillowcases hilarious? Dustys and Lulu's range of extremely popular pillowcases are oxymoronic, and this makes them funny. Labels, stereotypes, descriptions and conventional social norms are screen-printed by hand onto white pillowcases and then given the pride of place on our beds. Here are some of the winning combinations: Mr/MrsChick/BlokePretty/UglyLove/LustNaughty/NiceYeah/NahFilthy/Clean. These pillowcases come in pairs so we can assume that sometimes they are usually used by two people sharing a bed. But here's the dilemma: which person sleeps on which pillowcase? Does the label choose the person or does the person choose the label? Or is it a fight over who gets which pillowcase? Who would want to sleep on the "Filthy" pillow, or the "Ugly" pillow, or the "Nah" pillow while the other person gets to gloat in all their prettiness, cleanness or yeahness? I ask Mike (Dusty) what his inspiration for the pillowcases is, and he replies "everyone is so PC [sic], we just like to be a little bit naughty" and then goes on to say that it was actually his partner Lindie's (Lulu) idea. Mike says that he likes to keep it "fresh", to make it "fun, new, exciting". Dustys and Lulu's passion is design, and they make sure to keep it fresh, and also innovative, creative and unusual. Their out-of-the-box thinking has helped drive the success of their pillowcases. And so, going by this logic, they are bringing out new pillowcase designs which are, at this point, top secret. But check out their other new designs that have just been launched on our site: Spoon/ForkPrincess/Prince and Princess/Frog. We're semi waiting for Prince/Frog to come out as well...
