Based on paintings from the artist's 'Aotearoa Stamp' Series.
Titled with a code which stands for "Aotearoa 1976 Seven Cent Tiki Stamp Te Riti [The Treaty].
Inspiration for this print: "This screen print was inspired by the retro NZ postage stamps that my dad collected in the 1970's and 80's and also the stamps Hundertwasser created for Luxemburg, Senegal and the United Nations.
1976 is the year of my birth and the 'franked' part of the painting shows the date of the signing if the Te Riti O Waitangi [Feb 6, 1840], which is something that I feel extremely passionate about since devoting my life to the reduction of health inequalities in Aotearoa."
