I create the original insect- usually a mixture of collage and drawing.
All of these prints are handpainted silkscreen prints on paper and unframed. These are flat packed and posted. All prints are signed and numbered "out of limited edition of 50"
Notes: The Huhu larva is a large white grub that pupates in a tunnel bored in to wood. Emerging in summer, the big and deautiful beetle opens it's patterned wing cases and flies noisily in to the evening. As iconic as a butterfly on a weatherboard house or the orange and gold of Powell's reference on a nature study table- memories now preserved as if in a museum collection.
