Hand-coloured silkscreen: 440mm x 610mm
Tracey draws on the everyday, taking objects that might be considered mundane, but gives them new meaning when placed in a different context. Knives, cutlery, pegs and utensils found in her kitchen, appear in her works, but only after closer inspection. In their reformed state they seem totally at ease as a "detailing" of the garment, or an important aspect of its design.

"My practice inspects ideas of ‘little narratives'; or examines the notion of a ‘self' as an imaginary object, while considering modes of authorship; or examines the notion of a ‘self' as an imaginary object selected from the myths and representations of popular culture, while considering how the re-presentation of typecast artefacts can be used as a mode of authorship."

Tracey creates the original image as a silkscreen and then applies colour by hand to bring out details in the design and making each print an original artwork.
