The Red & Black Series

There is something compelling about a simple colour-way - the red and black on white, reminds me (at least somewhere in my unreliable murky memory cells) of the bold graphic opening sequence of an early james Bond movie I saw when I was about 13 - in those erotically fraught, teenage, swinging 60's years when everything British was sexy.
Of course it may actually be the obsessive repeat screenings of 'Harry Enfield's Gay Hitler' on Youtube (check it out), where he has a great idea for the flag....or then again closer to home, I do like the Tino Rangatiratanga Flag .... anyway there is a bit of blue in a couple of them...
As for the content - I have always loved typography and being a compulsive songwriter, I am always scribbling down little phrases form the newspaper or overheard conversations - some of them end up in graphic glory.
