Every Penny |
THIS ALBUM IS NOW SOLD OUT
Every Penny was recorded at AudioSuite on the Kapiti Coast, with Ross McDermott, a leading local sound engineer. It was tracked in a couple of weeks and mixed over the following 6 month period until it was released on July the 19th, 2007.
Because it was an entirely self funded album, it was entitled 'Every Penny' as the band literally put everything they had into it - for the costs of recording, mixing, mastering, artwork design and printing and pressing. Those who think a bit harder
will realise that the name also suggests this is an E.P.
The six songs represent a range of styles in which they play, including blues, folk/country, rock, pop and roots music, and displays the rangeof electric and acoustic instruments they play.
"The unique sound of The Thomas Oliver Band band is due to the eclectic nature of our individual musical tastes, but..." says Thomas Oliver "I think it's important to have a few unifying influences to consolidate a general direction for the band."
