Developed in conjunction with the Blackseed coat tree this piece also references south Pacific iconography but is more heavily stylized and owes much to the graphic work of New Zealand abstract artist, Gordon Walters. Like the coat tree i feel that much of the added value of this work is in the addition of an added layer of function to an otherwise 2-D concept.

Made from Plywood for sustainability, workability and economy of material.

All components are cut on a CNC machine and finished off by hand.
